Bible Studies - Wednesdays, Noon & 6:45 p.m.
Wednesdays provide another great opportunity to dig into Scripture and have lively conversations about our faith. Bring your lunch and munch while we study at noon, or come for the full Soul Food experience on Wednesday night, including dinner at 6:00 p.m., and study at 6:45 p.m. Join us during the 2018-2019 school year to study the Ten Commandments and the Lord's Prayer through the lens of Luther's Small Catechism.
Soul Food - Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday nights provide the perfect opportunity for families and individuals alike to ask questions and grow in faith as we gather together for a meal, worship, music and learning!
Everyone is welcome to join the fellowship of our Soul Food dinner, beginning at 6:00 p.m., providing time for all of our Wednesday night participants to share in a meal before heading to handbell choir rehearsal or learning opportunities.
Handbell choir rehearsal starts at 6:30 p.m. and learning events begin at 6:45 p.m. Confirmation students (7th & 8th graders) participate in an overview of the Bible and study the Small Catechism, while adults gather for a study of scripture and the Christian life.
This two-year journey of confirmation helps students to explore their faith through involvement in this church community and learning experiences centered on Biblical studies and Luther's Small Catechism. We encourage our youth to delve into their relationship with God and with each other in ways more reflective of a growing faith, asking questions, and claiming their faith for themselves. This ministry is about belonging in the family of God.
We gather on Wednesday nights, Sunday mornings and for a couple of retreats and lock-ins throughout the year as we seek to help these young people affirm the promises made for them in baptism. This concentrated, focused time of learning and faith formation begins the fall of 7th grade and culminates in the fall of 9th grade.
